Madesha is worried about the exams

          Michael was sitting with Madesha in a pub eating chicken biryani.

Madesha was worried. “Michael, you made me take money as advance. It is already one week but you never told me about the job I have to do. Exams are coming near. After the exams are over, I will devote all my time for the job you give me.”

Michael sipped wine and said seriously, “Our jobs are all top secret. I will tell you when the time comes. Once you start, you will not have time for anything else.”

“Only 25 days are left for the exam. I have spent all my time roaming around with you. I never attended college or touched my books.”

Michael was not at all worried. “That is nothing great for us. You just attend exam and leave the rest to me. I will get make you pass.”

“I will be most grateful to you if you do that. My brother will be very happy to see me pass and become a police officer.”

Michael laughed. “Wait till you see the field into which you got entry. You will always be with the police. It will be like your uncle’s house.”

Madesha was excited. “Please tell me what job that is. You say that I will always be with the police. Is the job of Home guard?”

“You have got entry into the field. Once you do one job, you must not go to your village for 15 days. You must remain in my room.”

Madesha was a bit worried. “Anyway exam is nearing. I can give that excuse and be away from home. My brother will take loan and give me as much money as I want. But there is fair in my village soon. I cannot miss that.”

Meanwhile Maestri got training from swami daily and soon became master in the secret technique. Swami is very happy with his disciple.

“You have learnt the technique so soon. I am very happy. But you must use it only for good purpose. To protect justice. Use it on the people who do wrong deeds and trouble others.”

“Swami, I am lucky to have met you and learnt the secret technique from you. I promise that I will use it only for good purpose.”

He bowed down in front of swami.

Swami blessed Maestri. “I am now leaving for the Himalayas. May god bless you.”

He left. Maestri stood looking at him.

Everyone was getting ready for the temple fair. Some people were painting the temple. Village elders had gathered for a meeting.

Maestri said, “Gowda, only one week is left for the fair. Let us all join hands to make the fair a grand success.”

“Maestri, your followers are experts in the job. They are always ready to follow your orders.”

Everyone nodded. Yedu said, “If Maestri is leading us, even god has nothing to say.”

One man said happily, “Ever since Maestri took over as leader 5 year ago, the fair has been a grand success every year. Before, only a few villages used to attend. But now, around 50 villages get involved. This time our Maestri is going to dance and that is why more people are going to gather.”

Maestri was very happy. “This year, we will not only sing and dance but also play holi.”
