Mallesha tells Vasanti about Madesha

Vasanti was sitting in her house. Just then Mallesha came there.

Vasanti was surprised to him. “Haven’t you gone to the college today?”

“I am on my way. But I wanted to tell you something.”

“Tell me. Do you want anything?”

“Sister, I had not paid the fees till today. Exam is approaching. My dad asked Maestri for money. He immediately gave five thousand rupees for fees and one thousand for expenses.”

Vasanti was shocked. She thought, “You are so godly. You will give parts of your own body if needed. I am very lucky to be marrying you.”

Mallesha continued, “Sister, I have to tell you something else. I am studying all because of the help given by Maestri. He has helped my dad a lot.”

“He has helped not just your dad but so many people in this village.”

“I wanted to tell you one thing. I am afraid to tell to Maestri.”

“What is it?”

“Madesha never attends college. He is roaming with a playboy named Michael. He is spoiling Madesha.”

Vasanti was shocked. “Maestri will be shocked and sad to hear this. He has so many dreams on that boy’s future. You don’t worry. I will tell him.”

She removed her cell and phoned to Maestri. “I have to tell you a secret. Come to my house in the evening.”

“What secret? I know very well what you are going to say.”

“No not that. I am serious. I want to tell you about Madesha.”

Maestri was shocked. “Ok. I will come in the evening.”

          Brahmam took Yedu to Varada’s house with fruits and flowers. Varada invited them happily. They entered the hall and kept the fruits and flowers on the table. Varada kept looking at the fruits. Mohini came and stood at the door staring at Yedu.

Brahmam said, “He carried the fruits since he is my servant. But I purchased them.”

He looked at Mohini. “I brought apples since you like them.”

Yedu became serious. But Varada was happy. He looked at Brahmam and said, “You have understood my taste very nicely. I like apple very much but it is costly. That is why I keep staring at them in the market without purchasing.”

Yedu was staring at Mohini and she too was staring at Yedu. Varada observed this and became angry. “Why are you staring at her? You have fooled her with your first touch. But I will agree only if you pass my test.”

Yedu got up. “You can test me in which ever way you want. I am ready.”

“I am interested in your payment. It must come directly to my hands. From that, I will give you a little for your expenses. You must take whatever I give.”

Yedu was happy. “I agree to all your conditions. You need not purchase any clothes for me. I can come just like that.”

Mohini was shy to hear this. She thought, “Ever since you gave me the first touch, I have been waiting for that type of touch.”

Varada said seriously, “Since you have agreed to my terms, I think you have passé in the test. Regarding marriage, my ideas are simple. I will give 2 lakhs as dowry which I will keep in her name.”

Yedu looked at Mohini happily. “When the time comes, I will open a readymade shop in her name.”

Brahmam became serious. Mohini brought water. Yedu and Brahmam sit drinking water wondering when coffee and snacks appear. 

“Coffee and snacks will be given after marriage. I will look for a good date and fix the marriage.” Said Varada.

Brahmam and Yedu got up and left. After coming out, Brahmam looked at Yedu seriously.

But Yed was laughing. “Till today, I thought I was alone. But my luck is changing from that one touch. I am going to become double. Also, I will get a house and 2 lakhs. I will open a readymade shop right in front of your shop.”

Brahmam bites his teeth. He thought, “That fellow, who you think is your father-in-law, has a balance in his hands. I am on one side and you are on the other. Just watch the balance will bend towards my side soon. If you pull Mohini with touch, I will pull her father to my side with that balance.”
