Maestri shows his punch

          A jeep entered the village. People were surprised to see the newcomers.

Leader asked one man sitting beside him, “Where is that fellow’s house?”

“Brother, just go a bit ahead. See those cows? That is his house.”

The jeep went and stood outside Maestri’s house. Rowdies got down with swords in their hands. People went away with fear.

Leader aked a villager, “Is this Maestri’s house?”

“Yes.” Said the villager with fear.

“Is his brother Madesha at home?”

All were silent.

“Surround the house. He might try to run away when he sees us.”

Two men went behind the house. Suddenly Maestri came out of the house. He was shocked to see the rowdies in front of his house. “Who are you? What do you want?”

“Where is Madesha?”

Rowdies shook swords in front of Maestri. But Maestri was not scared. He looked at them seriously.

“I am talking to you. Will you aske him to come out or do you want us to drag him our?”

“Who are you?” Asked Maestri.

Suddenly Madesha appeared at the gate. He had gone out and was coming home. Seeing him, one rowdie said, “See that fellow who is coming? That is Madesha.”

Rowdies run towards Madesha. He saw them coming and started running. But the men catch hold of him. Just as one man was about to cut him with a sword, Maestri interviened and saved Madesha. Fighting started. Maestri hit the rowdies with his magic punch. Rowdies fell down unable to even get up. Villagers came with sticks and stones. Rowdies got scared. But Maestri stopped the villagers. “Don’t hit them. They will not get up for another 6 months because of the punches I gave them.”

Maestri pointed to the jeep. “Put these men in the jeep and send them to their hideout.”

Villagers put the wounded men in the jeep. Vasanti and Yedu were also there amoung the villagers.

Looking at them, Maestri said, “Do you know now what my power is? I have just given 100 volts current shock. If you come to this village again, your bodies will take the path to cemetery. Who is your driver?”

One man lifted his hand.

Maestri told one man, “Put that man in the driver’s seat.”

He turned to the driver. “Go and tell that boss of yours who sent you here for Madesha that he troubles Madesha again, this Maestri will come to his hideout and hang him there itself.”

The jeep moved away. People whistled happily. They lifted Maestri on their shoulders.

Yedu asked happily, “Brother, when did you learn to fight like that. We have never seen you do it before.”

Maestri laughed. “That is nothing. I just felt like hitting those bastards. I did.”

He thought, “It is all the gift of swami. I used just 10% that’s all.”

Gowda patted Maestri on his back. “You hit them so hard that they all fell flat. It was like as if Lord Hanumantha had come upon your body. When did you learn this technique?”

“I cannot bear to see injustice being done. I just thought of that Lord Hanumantha and hit them.”

He started moving away. But Vasanti stopped him. “When I saw you hitting them, I felt somehow. My body was shivering with excitement.”

Maestri patted her cheek. “My way of hitting you is completely different.”

He moved towards his house.

Mother was watching everything. “Look at their swords. I was afraid that you might get hurt.”

Vasanti laughed. “Your son is not an ordinary man. He is Lord Hanumantha himself.”

Sakamma put her hand on her chest happily. “Yes. Now I have no fear. Even 100 swords cannot harm him.”

Maestri put his hand on Madesha’s back. “Don’t go anywhere alone. Stay inside the house. Due to the blows they got, they will not even turn to look in this direction.”

“Brother, I will not go anywhere. I will obey your words.”
