45. No first night for Brahmam

CHAPTER 45
No first night for Brahmam

The bed was fully decorated with flowers. Brahmam was sitting on the bed. It was his first night with Mohini after marriage. Mohini entered with a glass of milk. Brahmam was excited. He got up and approached Mohini. As he touched her hand, she was shy.

“What do you like?” Asked Mohini.

Brahmam said lovingly, “I like two things. You and Chandamama stories.”

Mohini was excited. “Do you like stories so much?”

Brahmam kept the glass of milk on one side. “Can you tell me stories? I will listen to them whole night.”

“I will tell thousand stories for thousand nights. One story per night. Shall we start?”

Brahmam sat in a comfortable position to lisen to the story.

Mohini started telling the story. “There was a princess like me in a city. A prince like you married that princess. At that time a devil entered the city in the disguise of a thief. He wanted to kidnap the princess some how or the other.”

Brahmam got excited. “What happened next?”

“That devil with black face is looking through that window with the intension of kidnapping me.”

Brahmam looked at the window. There he saw a devil with back face staring at him. Brahmam was shocked. “Is that the devil who has come to kidnap this princess?”

“Yes. Now the prince runs behind him with the intension of catching him. He runs towards the hill in search of the devil. He searches whole night. When the sun rises, the devil disappears. The prince returns home.”

Brahmam got up with excitement. “Princess, I will not let him escape. I will go to the hills and search for him.”

Mohini pointed to the door. “Go through this door.”
She opened the door. Brahmam ran out of the house. Mohini immediately closed the door and opened another door. Yedu entered with his face all blackened.

Mohini hugged Yedu happily. “Didn’t I tell you that the final touch is for you only?”
She made Yedu drink the milk. “I will tell him one story daily and send him to the hills. Then I will take the final touch from you.”
